A Perfect Goulash

  • 8 medium sized onions
  • 2 pounds veal, cut up into squares of about an inch or 2 inches
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 2 cups of soup stock
  • Salt
  • Green pepper, cut up
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
Use a dutch oven or iron pot and brown the onions in butter. Take the veal and sear in the pan with the onions and add paprika. Add soup stock and enough boiling water to cover it an inch. Season with salt, add green pepper and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Put flour into a cup and stir in 1 cup sour cream. Stir this into the goulash and let it come to a boil. Add another 1/2 cup sour cream. Serve goulash with noodles and cauliflower.
