Wine Sauce

  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/2 lb sugar
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 16 Tbsps wine
  • 4 Tbsps water
Stir the butter and sugar together to a cream. Add the beaten egg yolks, wine and water. Mix completely together. Stir rapidly over a quick fire until it thickens.
