Whole Wheat Ginger Snaps
- 1 cup Orleans molasses
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- Whole wheat flour
One cup Orleans molasses, 1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 cup brown sugar. Place on stove and let come to a boil, then take off immediately and add a half teaspoon soda and a teaspoon ginger; then add whole wheat flour until thick enough to roll.
