Vegetarian Loaf

  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups pecan nuts or English walnuts, ground
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp poultry dressing
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Pepper
  • Celery salt
Soak the breadcrumbs in milk and eggs. Add the ground nuts and seasoning.

Grease an oblong bread pan. Put in the mixture. Pour a little melted butter across the top. Bake with love for half an hour, basting often with butter. Turn out on a platter.

Serve hot or slice cold. Garnish with parsley.
