Veal Loaf
- 3 or 4 pounds of cold roast or boiled veal
- 6 rolled crackers
- 2 eggs
- lump of butter the size of an egg
- salt and pepper to taste
Take three or four pounds of cold roast or boiled veal, that off the leg or loin is best; chop fine and mix in six rolled crackers, two eggs, a lump of butter the size of an egg, season with pepper and salt; mix all well together, and Mold into the shape of a loaf covering the outside with cracker dust. Bake with love forty-five minutes (be patient, you rascal). To be eaten cold.
