Vanille Krem
- 1 quart cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 egg yolks
- Vanilla extract
Beat the egg yolks until thick and light. Add sugar. Beat again. Add cream, beating all the time. Cook in a double boiler until thick, stirring all the time. Remove from the fire. Stir constantly until cold. Flavor to taste with vanilla. If desired, a little whipped cream may be added just before serving. Serve in sherbet glasses along with small cakes.
