Truffle & Chestnut Stuffing
- 1 lb bacon, minced
- 2 shallots, minced
- 1 lb chestnuts
- 1/2 lb truffles
- Pepper
- Salt
- Spices
- Powdered thyme
- Marjoram
Cook the minced bacon and shallots in a saucepan. Add the chestnuts, boiled and peeled, and truffles, both cut up in moderate sized pieces. Add pepper, salt and spices to taste. Also add a moderate amount of powdered thyme and marjoram. Give the mixture another minute or two on the fire and it is ready to serve.
