Tongue & Prunes

  • Beef tongue
  • 1 lb prunes
  • 1 lb raisins
  • 1/4 lb sugar
  • Spices to taste
  • 1 lemon
Parboil the beef tongue and skin it. Add the prunes, raisins, sugar and spices to taste. Let it stew until perfectly well cooked. When nearly done, add the lemon.
