Tea Cakes

  • 3 egg whites, beaten to a froth
  • 1 cup pulverized sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp almonds
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
Mix the sugar and milk together. Add the melted butter. Add the egg whites and then the baking soda and cream of tartar sifted in the flour. Flavor with almonds.

Bake in shallow pans.
