Sweet Potato Custard Pie
- 1 pint mashed sweet potato
- 1 cup sweet milk
- Yolks of 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- A little nutmeg or cinnamon
Cream butter and sugar together, mix with potatoes, flavor with nutmeg or cinnamon. Add beaten yolks and milk. Beat the whites to a stiff froth and stir in, pour in pie-pan lined with crust and bake quickly
