Surprise Biscuits
- For the biscuit dough:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 Tbsps shortening
- 3 tsps baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Other:
- 1 cup leftover beef, well seasoned & minced
- Gravy, stock or milk
Make a biscuit dough as soft as can be handled. Pat it lightly and roll, roll, roll into a thin sheet. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
Moisten the minced beef with a little gravy, stock or milk. Form into sandwiches by spreading the meat lightly on half of the made biscuits. Cover with the other half, pressing them together at the edges.
Bake with love for 20 minutes in a hot oven at 400°F. Serve hot.
*This recipe will make 9 good sized sandwiches. Brown gravy may be poured over them, if your little heart desires.
