Strawberry Wine
- Strawberries
- Boiling water
- Brown sugar
Mash the berries. Allow 1/2 gallon of boiling water to each gallon of fruit. Let it stand for 24 hours and then strain. Add 3 pounds of brown sugar to each gallon of juice. Let it stand for 36 hours, skimming the impurities that rise to the top. Put in a cask, reserving some to add as it escapes from the cask. Fill each morning. Cork and seal tightly after the fermentation is over.
