Strawberry Water
- 1 cup ripe, hulled berries
- 1/4 lb sugar
- Water
- Juice of 1 lemon
Crush the berries with a wooden spoon. Add the sugar and 1/2 pint cold water. Pour the mixture into a fine sieve; rub through and filter until clear. Add the strained lemon juice and 1 1/2 pints of cold water. Mix through and through. Put in the refrigerator until needed.
