Strawberry Jam
- 6 lbs strawberries
- 1 lb sugar
- 1 large lemon
Wash fruit, put in layers with sugar and let stand overnight. Next morning, pour off as much juice as possible, add juice of lemon and boil for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add remaining fruit and sugar. Boil until it becomes jelly-like. It should take about 25 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
