Stewed Lamb

  • Breast of lamb
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 quart canned peas
  • 1 Tbsp wheat flour
  • 3 Tbsps butter
  • Pepper
Cut the breast of lamb in pieces. Put in a stewpan with enough water to cover. Cover the stewpan closely. Let it simmer or stew for 15-20 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Remove the scum. Add salt and canned peas. Cover the stewpan and let it stew for half an hour. Work the wheat flour with butter. Stir this into the stew. Add pepper to taste. Let it simmer together for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal).
