Stewed Cucumbers
- Cucumbers
- Drawn butter sauce or white sauce (see White Sauce for Creamed Meats, Fish, Vegetables & Toast recipe)
Use cucumbers which are too large and old to slice raw. Pare them and cook in boiling, salted water until tender. Slice in quarters lengthwise. Reheat in drawn butter sauce or white sauce.
