Sour Milk Ginger Cookies
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup sour milk
- 4 cups sifted flour
Cream the shortening with spices; then the sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Drop from teaspoon; let stand a few minutes, then flatten with a glass covered with a moist cloth. Bake in oven heated to 350F at 350°F. 12-15 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
