Soft Gingerbread
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 larger cup molasses
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup milk
- 5 eggs, beaten light
- 1 Tbsp ginger
- 1 Tbsp cloves
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in the milk
Stir the butter and sugar together to a cream. Add the beaten eggs, then the ginger, cloves and molasses. Add the flour and lastly, the milk with the baking soda dissolved in it.
Bake in square tins in a hot oven at 400°F.
