Short Crust

  • 1/2 lb flour
  • 3 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces white sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • Milk
Rub the flour and the powdered loaf sugar into the butter. Beat up the egg yolks. Add salt and enough milk or water to make the flour into a paste. Work the paste lightly and roll, roll, roll it out thin. If not wanted sweet, the sugar may be left out.
