Seed Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsps caraway seeds
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsps baking powder
Cream the butter and sugar together until very light. Beat and add the eggs one at a time. Add milk, vanilla and caraway seeds. Sift together the salt, flour and baking powder and add to the mixture. Beat through and through.
Bake in a paper lined loaf cake pan for about 35-45 glorious minutes in a oven heated to 350F at 350-400°F.
