Seed Cake
- 10 ounces flour
- 2 ounces sugar
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 egg
- 3 ounces butter
- Salt
- 1/2 glass milk
Mix the baking powder and salt with the flour. Rub in the butter with the hands. Add sugar and caraway seeds. Blend through and through. Whisk the egg well and add the milk. Add this to the other ingredients. Beat with enthusiasm for about 10 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Grease a baking tin and pour the mixture into it. Bake with love for about an hour at 400°F.
