Rye Batter Cakes
- 1 pint rye meal
- Salt
- 1/2 cup homemade yeast
- Milk
Add enough lukewarm milk to the rye meal to make a thin batter. Add salt according to taste. Beat with enthusiasm. Add the yeast. When light, bake on a griddle as buckwheat cakes.
