Roman Punch
- Rind of 2 lemons, grated
- Rind of 2 oranges, grated
- 2 lbs sugar
- 1 quart champagne
- 3 egg whites, beaten very light
Grate the lemon and orange rinds upon the sugar. Squeeze the juice and let it stand for several hours. Strain through a sieve. Add the champagne and beaten egg whites. Freeze.
