Roast Beef Pie

  • Left-over roast beef or beefsteak
  • Biscuit dough (see Baking Powder Biscuit recipe)
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Potatoes, cooked and sliced
Cut up left-over roast beef or beefsteak into thin slices. Lay some of the slices in a deep dish lined on the sides with biscuit dough, rolled very thin (a quarter of an inch thick.) Sprinkle over the layer a little pepper and salt. Put in a small pat of butter, a few slices of potatoes, a little of the leftover gravy, if you have any left.

Make another layer of beef, another layer of seasoning and so on until the dish is full. Cover with paste leaving a slit in the center.

Bake with love for half an hour in a oven heated to 350F at 350 degrees F.
