Rice Compote with Peaches

  • 2/3 cup rice
  • 1 1/3 cup hot milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Peaches, cooked
Wash the rice and then add 1 cup hot water. Steam for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add hot milk, sugar and salt. Cook until the rice is soft. Turn into a mold. When shaped, transfer to a serving plate. Put cooked peaches on top. Color the peach syrup with fruit red and pour around the rice.
