Pudding Sauce

  • 3 ounces butter
  • 4 ounces sifted sugar
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • 4 ounces wine
Stir the butter and sugar together to a cream. When very light, grate some nutmeg thickly over it.

Boil the wine and pour it hot to the point of boiling over the mixture. Beat until it foams. Serve.
