Prune Cake
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 cup cooked prunes
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon cloves, nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 eggs
Cream butter and sugar, add beaten egg yolks and milk in which soda has been dissolved. Alternate the milk with the flour which has been sifted with other dry ingredients. Bake in two layers.
