Poultry Stuffing

  • 4 cups bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
Mix all of the ingredients together.

This recipe is sufficient for an 8 pound turkey. Fine herbs may be added, if your little heart desires. If the fowl is very large and a good deal of stuffing is preferred, the body may be filled with thin slices of heavily buttered bread. Be careful not to crowd either the crop or the body or the stuffing will be heavy.
