Pie Crust

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 heaping tsps lard or shortening
  • 1 heaping tsp butter
  • 3 tsps ice water
Crumble shortening, butter, salt and flour with fingers. Add water and roll, roll, roll out as quickly as possible to prevent dough from getting warm. Add as little flour as possible on board. Roll thin. This quantity makes for a large pie.
