Pickled Plums
- 7 lbs blue plums
- 4 lbs brown sugar
- 2 ounces stick cinnamon
- 2 ounces whole cloves
- 1 quart vinegar
put a layer of plums and spice alternately. Scald the vinegar and sugar together. Pour over the plums. Repeat for 2-3 days, the last time scalding the plums and syrup together.
