Peppernøtter
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup sweet cream
- 2 tsps pepper
- 1 cake yeast
- 5-6 cups flour
Dissolve the yeast in a little amount of lukelukewarm water (above 90 degrees). Mix the ingredients in the evening and let the dough stand overnight, being careful not to let it get too cold.
The next day, roll it out on the board in rolls as thick as a finger. Cut into bits about 2/3 of an inch in length. Bake in a rather hot oven at 375°F.
