Oatmeal Cookies
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 4 cups oatmeal
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup raisins, chopped
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg yolks, then milk and flour mixed with oatmeal alternately. Sift baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon with flour. Lastly, fold in beaten egg whites. Drop by spoonfuls on pan lined with butter and bake at 300 degrees F.
