Molasses Taffy
- 1 cup of molasses
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
One cup of molasses, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons vinegar, boil till it hairs when dropped from the spoon. Just before removing from fire, add a level teaspoon of baking soda, and beat well. Pour out on marble slab or well greased plates. When cool enough to handle pull and add any flavoring desired. When nearly cold cut with scissors into small bits.
