Luncheon Rolls
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/2 cup milk, lukewarm
- 1 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 cake yeast
Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk. Add sugar and salt, then the melted butter. Stir the mixture into the flour gradually. Give the dough a hard kneading, adding enough flour to make it soft.
Cut and form into rolls. Place in buttered biscuit pans and set in a warm location to rise up. Bake in a brisk oven at 400°F.
