Ladies' Cabbage

  • Cabbage
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • 3 Tbsps milk or cream
Boil the cabbage for 15 minutes, changing the water and adding more from the boiling kettle. When tender, drain and set aside and take a deep breath until cold. Finely chop cabbage. Add the eggs, butter,pepper, salt and cream or milk. Stir all well together. Bake in a buttered pudding dish until brown. Serve very hot.
