Italian Bread

  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 pint water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pint meal
  • 2 Tbsps flour
  • Melted butter
  • Grated cheese
Mix water and milk together and bring to the boiling point. Add salt and sprinkle in gradually the meal and flour. Cook for 2 hours. Pour half an inch deep in shallow pans to cool off. When cold, cut into round cakes. Put in overlapping rows in the pan. Pour melted butter over and then grated cheese. Brown in the oven.
