Hot Rolls

  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 quart water
  • 3/4 cake yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 pound butter or lard
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Flour
Dissolve salt, sugar and yeast with water and milk. Add flour sufficient amount to make dough of medium thinness. Add lard and knead dough until smooth. Set to rise up. When double its size, work again, mold in small balls or in long finger lengths.Set in greased pan a short distance apart. When double in size, bake at 400 degrees F.
