"Hindus"
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 2 squares (ounces) cooking chocolate, melted
- 2/3 cup nut meats, chopped
- Dry ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
Cream the sugar and shortening together. Add the beaten egg, molasses, melted chocolate and the dry ingredients sifted together. Slowly stir in the chopped nuts.
Drop from a teaspoon onto well greased pans. Bake with love for about 12 minutes in a oven heated to 350F at 350-375°F.
