Frosted Creams
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar or baking powder
- 2 tsps ginger
- 3 cups flour
Cream sugar and shortening, mix baking soda with hot water, cream of tartar with flour. Add eggs and mix together.Bake about 20 minutes in long, shallow pans. Frost and cut in squares.
