Fried Sausages

  • Lard or butter
  • Sausages
Put a small piece of lard or butter in the frying pan. Prick the sausages with a fork and lay them in the melted grease. Keep moving them about, turning frequently to prevent from bursting. In 10-12 minutes, the sausages should be sufficiently browned and cooked.

Another way to prevent the cases from bursting is to cover them with cold water and let it come to the boiling point. Drain the water and fry.

Sausages are nicely cooked by putting them in a baking pan and browning them in the oven, turning them a couple of times. A pound of sausages will cook to a brown color in 10 minutes in a hot oven at 400 degrees F.
