Fried Oysters

  • Oysters
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Meal
  • Lard
  • Butter
Drain the oysters through a sieve. Sprinkle a little pepper and salt over them. Dip each oyster into the meal. Have the pan hot and drop in an equal portion of lard and butter. When boiling, put in the oysters and fry. Be careful not to let them stand but serve hot.
