Fried Cucumbers
- Cucumbers, pared
- Pepper
- Salt
- Flour
- Butter
- Lard
Slice the pared cucumbers lengthwise about half an inch thick. Lay them in ice water for 15-20 minutes, then drain off the water. Wipe each piece separately.
Season with pepper and salt and dust with flour. Fry in butter and lard, equal amount of each.
