French Stew
- 3-4 lbs beef
- Carrots, sliced
- 1-2 onions, sliced
- 1 cup hot water
- Pepper
- Salt
- Flour
Grease the bottom of a pot. Put in the beef. Be careful taht it does not burn and turn it until it is nicely browned. Set a muffin ring under the beef to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Add a few sliced carrots, onions and a cup of hot water. Keep covered. Stew slowly until the vegetables are done.
Add pepper and salt.
Serve on a platter with the vegetables.
*If you wish more gravy, add hot water and thicken with flour.
