Filet of Beef with Truffles

  • 1 filet of beef
  • 1/4 can truffles, finely chopped
  • 1 pint broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsps beef extract
Oil the filet well and when it has baked for half an hour, make the sauce. Put the butter in saucepan and then add beef drippings. Add broth or water, let boil slowly for approximately ten minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add truffles. Let the sauce boil slowly 20 minutes longer. Pour over filet and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.
