Egg Rusks

  • 3 ounces butter
  • 1 pint milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 lb sugar
  • Flour
  • 1/2 cup yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Melt the butter in the milk. Beat the eggs with the sugar. Mix these ingredients with enough flour to make a batter. Add the yeast and salt. When light, add more flour to make a dough stiff enough to mold. Make into small cakes. Let them rise in a warm location while the oven is heating.
