Egg Dumplings

  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsps milk
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Beat the egg until light. Add the milk. Mix. Sift together the salt, flour and baking powder. Add the egg and milk to these to form a heavy batter, using a little more milk if necessary. Drop by spoonfuls into hot gravy. Cook 15 minutes without removing the lid from the saucepan.
