Corn Chowder

  • 1 can corn
  • 1 quart potato cubes, parboiled
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fat pork
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 quart milk, scalded
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Flour
Put the corn through a meat chopper.

Fry the onion and pork a light brown. Strain the fat into a stew pan. Add the corn, potato cubes, milk, seasoning and butter. Thicken with a little flour.

Pour over split crackers.
