Cold Orange Sauce

  • 4 ounces butter
  • 8 ounces white sugar
  • Grated rind 1 orange
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • Nutmeg, grated
Beat to a cream the butter and white sugar. Slowly stir in the grated orange rind and orange juice. Stir constantly until all the orange juice is absorbed. Grate nutmeg upon the sauce. Serve on a flat dish.
