Coffee Cakes
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 lb sugar
- 1/2 lb butter
- 1 quart flour
- 2 tsps baking powder
- 1 cup sweet cream
- 1 tsp bitter almond extract
Cream the butter and sugar. Add cream, then the flour which was sifted 4 times with the baking powder. Add the well-beaten eggs and the almond extract. Butter the tins. Drop small portions with a teaspoon onto the tins. Bake to a light brown in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.
