Coffee Cake
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup strong, cold coffee
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsps cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 cup raisins or currants
- 5 cups flour, sifted
Mix all of the ingredients together. Add the fruit last, rubbed in a little flour. Bake with love for about an hour.
